Depeche Mode Corta Lazos Con Warner

Es el último grupo de gran perfíl que corta lazos con Warner Music Group.

La veterana banda inglesa está representada por Jonathan Kessler, quien los trajo a Mute en 1980 en Europa, mientras que en los Estados Unidos la banda firmó con Sire/WB desde esa época.

Fuera de los Estados Unidos, Depeche Mode ha estado con EMI desde que ésta adquirió Mute en el año 2002, y la banda continúa vendiendo discos y haciendo grandes negocios en el camino, especialmente en Europa, pero decidieron cortar relaciones con Warner luego de concluir que no han recibido la suficiente atención bajo el régimen de Tom Whalley.

Depeche ahora se une a un prestigioso grupo de desertores que incluye a AC/DC, Eagles, Jewel, Madonna y, más recientemente, Nickelback, creando un interrogante sobre quién será el próximo gran artista por abandonar la compañía discográfica.
